francuski zapraszamy do programu praktyk we Francji. Praktyki trwają od 1 do
6 miesięcy. W ramach programu uczestnicy odbywaja staże w firmach zgodnie ze
swoim wyksztalceniem/ doswiadczeniem. Generalnie praktyki krotkie są
nieplatne; natomiast w przypadku praktyk pow. 4 miesiecy uczestnik otrzymuje
stypendium ok. 150-300 euro netto na miesiąc.
Proponujemy rownież praktyki hotelowe w Montpellier i południu Francji.
Program trwa od 2 do 6 miesięcy. W ramach programu uczestnicy maja
zagwarantowane podczas praktyk zakwaterowanie z pełnym wyżywieniem oraz
stypendium w wysokości ok. 200 euro na miesiąc. Uczestnicy pracuja ok. 39
godzin tygodniowo; w sezonie ilość godzin może być większa.
W ramach programu wymagane jest ukończenie co najmniej 1 tygodniowego kursu
języka francuskiego. Kurs można przedlużyc przed rzopoczeciem praktyki
ewentualnie kontynuowac w trakcie programu.

This programme is for participants wishing to combine a real work experience
in a French-based company with a language course. The programme provides
participants with the opportunity of gaining valuable vocational experience,
thus increasing employment prospects through the development of language,
business, interpersonal and cultural skills.
Location and Duration of programme
The programme takes place in Montpellier and the surrounding area and lasts
from 1 to 6 months (minmum 8 weeks in July and August). It can start any
Monday from mid-January to the end of October. The Language Course can start
before or during the placement. One week (20h) is included in the programme
price.
Montpellier
Montpellier is the capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon region in the south of
France, with a population of 240,000 - some 25% of which are students. This
lively University city with its infectious atmosphere and year-round sunshine
has something to offer all tastes : a beautiful and historic old town with
trendy shops and open-air cafés; the modern and impressive Antigone area with
its Olympic-size swimming pool; and just a short tram-ride away is the
Odysseum fun park, a brand-new complex with ice-skating rink, aquarium,
planetarium, bowling-alley and multiplex cinema. Not forgetting the sandy
beaches and warm waters of the Mediterranean just 8 km away. And Paris is
only one hour away by plane.
Company Work Placement
Types of employment include : Administration, Care Work, Information
Technology, Engineering, Import/Export, Insurance, Marketing, Research,
Media, Advertising, Secretarial, Travel and Tourism and many more. (NB for
certain specialised fields of employment both training and previous
experience may be required). Language course takes place before the placement
(min. 1 week). Accommodation is not included.
In general, companies require that the participant works 35 to 39 hours per
week Monday to Friday, with weekends free.
Short Work Placements (1 - 3 months)
are not generally remunerated·
· Long Work Placements (4 - 6 months) pay a minimum of € 200 per month (NB
not available for non-EU participants)
Hotel Work Placement
Hotels require that participants work 41 hours per week with 2
non-consecutive days off. Positions offered: restaurant, bar, kitchen,
chambermaid, reception.
Hotel Work Placements (2 – 6 months / minimum 8 weeks) pay approximately €
200 per month and participants have full-board and lodging provided. The
Language Course can take place either before the placement (no accommodation
included) or during the placement (every Tuesday or Thursday afternoon from
14.00 to 16.30 for 8 weeks; accommodation included).
Language Course
Courses are international and aimed at adults of 18 and over. The maximum
group size is 10 students. Teachers are all native-speakers and
FLE-qualified. They use an integrated communicative approach in its teaching
which focuses on the student and his/her environment. Particular attention is
paid to improving speaking and listening skills.

Accommodation & Activities
Participants can choose between host-family and studio-style residential
accommodation in single or shared rooms all with the following options: bed
and breakfast, half-board or self-catering. All the accommodation is
conveniently located for easy access to the school/company.
During the language course, the language school organises a weekly programme
of afternoon and evening activities in which participants are encouraged to
participate. These include discovering Montpellier - cinema and theatre
visits, wine-tastings as well as the excellent choice of restaurants, bars
and nightclubs - and the surrounding area - the Camargue National Park,
Carcassonne, Nîmes and Avignon , not to mention the Mediterranean beaches.
During the placement, Contact Europe will organise monthly meetings for all
participants to meet and take part in free social activities eg. canoeing,
bowling, ice skating, karaoke, dinners out etc.
PROGRAM PERPIGNAN
Between the Pyrenees and the deep blue Mediterranean sea, Perpignan’s area is
a colourful region with its stunning variety of natural attractions that are
guaranteed to satisfy the taste of any visitor. Kilometres of both sandy and
rocky pristine beaches constitute the renowned Catalan Coast, an unceasingly
changing scene that is to discover from one end to the other! The Pyrenees as
well offer you unforgettable experiences, with their ample flora and fauna
and sights that will take your breath away. Each season fascinates you in a
different way, knowing that only one thing stays the same: the sun that
shines for over 300 days a year.
This programme allows you to undertake a Work Experience in a Hotel in
Perpignan and its surroundings.
Duration of the programme: 2 to 6 months
Programme available: all year round with three options
-Standard Placement (starting dates from April to July) in seaside resorts
-Summer Placement (July and August only) in seaside resorts
-Winter Placement (starting dates from Mid-December) in the Eastern Pyrenees

a day). Departure transfer is to be organised by the participant.
Certifications
At the end of the Work Experience, both Contact Europe and the Hotel issue a
certificate of attendance and the hotel can also provide a letter of

Monthly Meetings
Contact Europe organizes every month a meeting for all its participants. It
is a great opportunity to meet young people from several countries and to
share views and experiences. The activities are free.

Regular follow-up during the placement and a final questionnaire to be filled
in by the participant but also by the hotel/company.

French Tuition
In our partner school, ALFMED, all teachers are French native speakers. There
are a maximum of 10 students per class, having a similar level of French, to
assure the best results.
- For Standard and Summer Placement, participants have two options :
A- French course during the Work Experience
A 20-hour course, with a 2-hour-and-a-half lesson one afternoon per week
(during your days off) for 8 weeks. Standard French course only.
B- French course before the Work Experience
20 or 25 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
While participants take French course before the placement, the expenses for
the accommodation are at their charge. Contact Europe can provide only one
type of accommodation:
-In student houses (equipped studio, on self catering basis, single or shared
room)
- For Winter Placement, French tuition is only available before the Work
Experience. Contact Europe offers a package including:
-A 20-hour course, 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday
-Accommodation within a student house during the course (one week)
In addition
By taking an examination, you can obtain the TEF Certificate - Test
Evaluation du Français (in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and

facilities, Montpellier has something for everyone. It has a cosmopolitan

80.000 students in town) and offers to its visitors plenty of cultural hints.
Something is always happening in Place de la Comédie, such as an artisan fair
or a book expo or an initiation to swing dancing! Moreover, Montpellier is a
very heartbeat for international dance, theatre, film and music festivals. If
all of this is not enough, don’t miss Montpellier’s surroundings: Languedoc
Roussillon is a region steeped in history, rich in culture and overflowing in
natural beauty.
This programme allows you to undertake a Work Experience in a Hotel or in a
Company in Montpellier and its surroundings.

4 to 30 km from the centre). Very few hotels are in the city centre (because
no accommodation provided by the hotels).
Also possibility to be placed in the seaside towns outside Montpellier :
Palavas, la Grande-Motte, Sète, Cap d’Agde…
Accommodation
Generally, in shared rooms within the hotels.
Full board (3 meals a day) or food allowance provided by the hotels (140
euros per month).
NB : Participant can choose to be accommodated outside the hotel in
Montpellier city centre. Contact Europe can provide a more central placement
as well as organising the accommodation but the cost will be covered by the
participant.

Possibility to work Saturdays in retails/shops/tourism.
Professional fields : Most sectors of activity can be arranged, except for
Bank, Finance and Law.
Location of companies : in the city centre or in its surroundings (with easy
access by local transport)
Remuneration : Placements < 12 weeks are unpaid. For longer placements,
participants will earn a minimum of 150 € per month.
Dress Code : Good presentation.
